Much better places for sushi in PGH. Shrimp dish was decent, while shrimp cocktail with regular medium/ large shrimp while charged for jumbo shrimp price. Brussels Sprouts were excellent. They gave us a table.
Rather this is excellent food that has Japanese roots but a continental flare.Tags: Special Occasion, Fit for Foodies, Neighborhood Gem, Pre/post TheatreWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience4service5value4lm72987(Pittsburgh)·Dined on February 12, 2017We Most is served as a small plate. She said the manager would have to process this. What food we had was very good, but very small portions.
We chose one entree, literally gobbled it down and ran to our show. Other dishes the table ordered were the scallop pad thai, rice cakes, spicy tofu, ginger friend rice, and salmon. Love the brussel sprout salad! They were totally unprepared.
Nothing but good things to say about Social House 7. We waited for it to arrive. Log in. Took 10 minutes to get a bar drink and the restaurant was virtually empty.
Our food was average. And PLEASE do not leave without having the "Fortune Cookie" for dessert. Guess we learned why.Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood2ambience2service1value2OpenTable Diner(Pittsburgh)·Dined on February 23, 2017Food outstanding..service great..enjoyed the evening..Tags: Creative Cuisine, Cozy, Pre/post Theatre, Quiet Conversation, Open KitchenWas this review useful to try here However, the couple we were with know the owner & will be informing him how service was.1 person found this review helpful.
Our server spilled water on the bread basket. However, it is served immediately, apparently when it done in the kitchen. Poor service, crazy waits, pathetic food. This was not the fault of the waitstaff, but if you take reservations on a show night, Saturday, then book them accordingly and we won't be trying to book a dinner
All of this for $84. http://www.opentable.com/mccormick-and-schmicks-seafood-downtown They arrived after us & he never told them the specials. The food tilts more to the Japanese side of the gastronomic map but the taste and the feel is not like a Japanese sushi restaurant.

This made our night take a downturn. We ordered 3 types of sashimi and 4 different sushi rolls- all were yummy and fresh.
My wife had the scallops. First visit for myself and a group of friends for a late dinner and shortly after being seated in the main dining room, we noticed the smaller dining room was no Great menu!

The restaurant is conveniently located near the cultural district, and is a perfect pre-theatre destination. The atmoshpere was great and the drinks were fine but other than that I was disappointed.
Picked it because I needed someplace I could reliably get my kids a meal they would eat without complaining. The food is good. We were a bit early for our reservation and the host was very accommodating.Tags: Good for Birthdays, Pre/post TheatreWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience5service4value4vipECC1(Pittsburgh)·Dined on February 25, 2017Food and drinks were Large portions and good value.
We waited fifteen minutes for two cups of soup. The scallop pad Thai and mango rangoons are some of our favorites. Since we couldn't carry on a conversation, we had no choice but to people watch and that made us laugh even more...
