It has two 72 watt tec's and is watter cooled... When I had my k6-2 450, the best I could do was 560 @ 2.9 volts, but now I'm crusin' along at 632 (5.5x115)2.8 volts k6-III 400.. The ONLY reason I got one was because the seller didn't tell me ahead of time that it wasn't a 2.2 volt chip... That'll give you 475. https://forums.techguy.org/threads/want-to-oc-my-k62-450-advice-guidance.32367/

Both boards had VIA MVP3 chipsets, so that was not it, I was thinking that there is something noisy with the power signature of the 503+. Is your chip a 2.4v version, or have you increased the voltage to 2.4v? (Some K6/2-450's are 2.2v) It sounds like you need more voltage or better cooling or both! grissom replied Mar 17, 2017 at 4:17 PM NCAA Basketball Thread valis replied Mar 17, 2017 at 4:12 PM PC stuck at boot Tabvla replied Mar 17, 2017 at 4:12 PM

Loading... These things like there voltage. @ 504 I ran 2.6v @ 560 2.8 and they do get warm. When overclocking, remember, baby steps. Then, if you're lucky (and I mean very lucky!) try 5x100 @ 2.7 volts.

get the better cooling first as opposed to running hot right now, i think its a clear indicator why anything is wrong. Im a student with no real cash flow and I love to play games cuz I cant afford to party Please someone help me overclock this thing so that I can Good Luck! his comment is here If you're not already familiar with forums, watch our Welcome Guide to get started.

But I'd push it to 2.7v myself.

I have the EP-MVP3G2 Motherboard and no as of yet havent had problems with the Via chipset. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/121029-29-overclocking-k6ii-asus iAMDking what is saposed to sound like is i am da king or i amd king "Is it worth it to give your heart away, and live for a great period My AccountSearchMapsYouTubePlayNewsGmailDriveCalendarGoogle+TranslatePhotosMoreShoppingWalletFinanceDocsBooksBloggerContactsHangoutsKeepEven more from GoogleSign inHidden fieldsBooksbooks.google.comhttps://books.google.com/books/about/Popular_Photography.html?id=LmIjpZLQQUEC&utm_source=gb-gplus-sharePopular PhotographyMy libraryHelpAdvanced Book SearchGet Textbooks on Google PlayRent and save from the world's largest eBookstore. They also perform a little better with FSB increases than mult increases. Where do you guys get this stuff and how much does it cost generally? I am running the cpu on an Iwill XA100Plus Super 7 that supports up to 140mHz CPU bus. Last time I tried that the temp whent to 72C and was still climbing when I shut that sucker down.....pretty scary.

Try running 3d games and see if it crashes. i think 2.6 is about the highest any of the k6's like. i'm going from the 450 to a Duron 700 this week, my cooler won't be great, i'm assuming... seems like theres something wrong there, even crappy hsk should cool better.

Has anyone had any luck with this stuff to try and push this baby a little further? that [email protected] may have blown up leaving that post also, the reality is the K6-2 was'nt a great O/c'er and to get 700 i'd think watercooling is the Only way you'd back it to stock settings and double check what you've changed.

Where can I get a really good cooling system that I can play with in my K6II 450 system and that has the capability to go into a Thunderbird 1.33 system

My motherboard can FSB at 112mhz but I couldnt find a setting that would make that work. i feel i'm lucky w/560 also the chip codes appear to play a role. Increase your voltage by 0.1 or 0.2 Volts at a time to see if it works. Is it stable?

Click here to join today! It ran rock stable. Discussion in 'Hardware' started by dazzl, Feb 9, 2000. On the 503+ there are no less than 10 jumpers that have to do with memory/AGP/PCI, CPU multiplier and FSB, it is easy to get confused on that board.

Oh, question...Is the heat the thing that makes the CPU unstable or the shear voltage going thru it? there's programs at the ftp site for download, i don't know much about them... and play with vcore and fsb only. http://geocities.com/chavy85 good luck i have had my 2.2 all the way to 2.8 but was more stable after a week of burn in.

I'll see if I cant get a hold of a good cooler real quick. Have you tried lowering the FSB and raising the multiplier? i forgot where you set the multiplyer at, but go to stock... visit my Website!

Thanks alot for all your help. Reply With Quote 05-09-01,09:34 PM #2 samuknow View Profile View Forum Posts Member Join Date Feb 2001 Location Indianapolis, IN I ran a K6II 450 @560 for about 4 months. And I'll check the how-to's for the proper installation of the film and all.
