Its just personal preference for the case, I like a case to be simple but also smart/slick looking on the outside, with the main attention grabber being the components inside. But I digress, price to performance should always be considered since we don't want to throw money down the drain with parts that we cant utilize. Have you given this "dream offer" rig a test drive yet? the q6600 wil run all over that e8400, and it will last longer. (IF you do go for the e8400,get a good cpu fan for it if you plan on overclocking).
