Here is the path to disable ctfmon.exe from running in the background HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Simply right-click ctfmon.exe and delete it. If you don't need it: DISABLE IT!
I've been getting really, REALLY tired of disabling that annoying program every five minutes, especially since it has a tendency to crash certain games. I think, WinPatrol is a must for any PC user. You can always kill it using Task Manager, but I don't recommend that since it's a system process. Crashes, freezes and general mayhem become common, and people go into despair.
