Also try: 1) plugging the webcam directly on the PC if you use a USB hub. 2) plug only the webcam on the USB port. If the device is not recognized in Windows, it will be listed under Other Devices. So far I haven't seen a solution. I then shut down both msn and yahoo and tried to open the cam just from my desktop and the error message was ‘webcam locked by another application'.
